Curriculum
We follow the governments Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which sets the standard for learning, development and care from birth up to the age of five years old. Our curriculum covers all key areas of the EYFS and is tailored to meet the needs of each individual child.
When your child starts nursery we ask you to complete paperwork which will tell us all about your child’s likes, dislikes, needs, favourite food, pass times and their personality. We use this information to plan assessment targets for your child and match them to a keyperson.
Your families keyperson will be your first point of contact, they will help you and your child to settle in to nursery and liase with you on a daily basis. We offer communication diaries for babies and daily sheets for older children, in addition to this you will be given a full handover at the end of the day.
At the beginning of each term your key person will set your child developmental targets to achieve and observations will be carried out, you will be able to view these as often as you want on your personal online tapestry account. Parents evenings are held once a year for you to go through your child’s development targets in depth.
